A few words from Endon C.C. Chairman, Andy Bullmore

"YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU – Please ask how can you help"

Endon Cricket Club is a village amenity for all its many junior, ladies and senior members and anyone in the village and surrounding area to enjoy the game of cricket in a safe and friendly family environment whatever their age or gender.

Currently Friday nights for me are the best at the club when all our coaches, players and younger junior players come together to have fun and learn the game whilst their parents and families have a drink at the bar and enjoy whatever food we able to put on when both the weather and willing volunteers permit. Older juniors are also present some helping out with the younger players but mostly just having fun until it goes dark. We have also over the last few years developed strong relationships with all the local primary and high schools

On Saturdays our senior adult 1st and 2nd teams play in their respective leagues and on Sundays our under 13s and the 3rd Team are just as competitive whilst also having fun and helping to develop our younger talent. On weekday nights our many junior sides play in their various leagues and from this we have now developed a huge home grown talent with several juniors representing both the County and local District sides. My vision of the future is for all this home grown talent to one day go on and populate our senior sides and help make the club successful both on and off the field.

Our club's main aims are:

1) Running all teams on a professional basis

2) Constantly developing our junior talent

3) Year on year improvement of facilities both on and off the field.

In the past few years the club has made massive strides by finally getting together a great positive team of volunteers, executive members and team captains all driving towards these goals and aims.

In the current 2015/2106 season we have also now started an association with the newly-formed Endon Football Club and their 3 young  junior football teams playing every Sunday morning on our new top pitch. This extra sporting facility at the club gives a huge boost in our future potential for membership numbers and opportunities for grants for much needed expansion plans for new changing rooms.

However, we can only do this with the help of volunteers. These come in all shapes and sizes and every contribution no matter how small is always greatly appreciated. We need help raising funds, running teams, working behind the bar, preparing food and carrying out routine maintenance.
